Founder, Curator and Director of Scholarship Affairs: Kayla Harley teamed up with the county local museum in Brentwood, Maryland which honors Black Culture, Aesthetic, History and Heritage year round, the Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center. The scholarship recognizes exceptional merit and talent in the lives of young people who perform exceptionally well in the field of dance onstage, in-studio as well as in school academically. It's title, "Legacy" is in homage to the predecessors of Dance who set the standard for Excellence beyond passion and performance, in honor of all the supporters, contributors, advocates and educator throughout the Year in the charge and challenge that we give to our Young People to see it through and carry out.

Ms. Ortiz shared excerpts from her submission essay about her Dominican Republic Heritage, her dance training and the gratitude she has towards her family and all who helped make her young dance career possible. As an Award Recipient, Ambar spent two days with an Professional Choreographer Bre Seals of Breathe Dance Project to create an original solo entitled "Unhinged" an exploration of vibration colors throughout the

body, an emotional implantation on the soul and a connection to the rich soil of our Earth. She performed it in the Galleries amidst the vivid exhibition Catharsis of pure expression, feminine energy, buoyant hues  by Vanessa Williams. Seals' company of dancers also performed in the Gallery with work that was chosen for new commissioned project work in the DC dance scene at Dance Place, "How We Got to Now". Together they took the audience on a journey that would change their position as observers into participants as well. Enthusiast audience members shared their reflections and immediate impressions of the performance.

The even closed out words shared by IABD Programs Specialist, Carol Foster on what is to be expected at the Annual Conference in Festival in Philadelphia.

Less Time, More Money | The Power of Passive Income

It's True - you don't have to be a major influencer, tech wiz, or from privilege to leverage financial gain. In fact, you could be doing this: And getting paid at the same time! How? w/ Passive Income. Passive income is money you can earn with little effort and without working a traditional job; exchanging less time for more Money. One way to build an income stream is to invest in dividend stocks, which distribute part of the company’s earnings to investors regularly (typically quarterly). The best dividend stocks increase their payout over time, helping you grow future income. As a bonus, dividend stocks typically are less volatile than growth stocks, so they can help diversify and even stabilize your investment portfolio. Investors can also reinvest dividends back into the stock, potentially increasing your investment if the stock does well. You can also invest in index funds or exchange-traded funds that hold dividend stocks rather than picking and choosing indi...

Vulnerability

Lets revert back to our Mission Statement... "We as Women of Excellence are unashamed of vulnerability." Vulnerability is a key component for being a worshipper and a servant of God. Vulnerability allows for intimacy and power of transparency to take over and inspire an onlooker. Vulnerability in our personal relationships is promising; it allows for healing, growth and unconditional love to flow freely. In this ministry video these women touch on vulnerability by way of complete and uninhibited worship. The strength that's needed to live a life of integrity and excellence can only be achieved by having faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).  Therefore, trusting in the way that defies our circumstances, occurrences and ongoings of the world is possible with vulnerability.  Vulnerability removes that veil of shame or discomforts and gives us freedom to move in accordance to God's says...

The idea of Paying Extra for anything these days - feels unbearable - next to $8 Eggs, $5 Gallon Gas and Subscriptions for Everything. Why should I also pay for coverage/life insurance? I'm not even married with Kids yet. (...just an example). Here's the 5 Benefits of Using your Policy as a Saving Fund and How it Works.... 1. Whole Life Insurance: Cash Value Accumulation How it works : Whole life insurance provides coverage for life and includes a cash value component that grows over time. A portion of your premiums goes toward the insurance coverage, and another portion is invested in the cash value. Benefit : The cash value grows tax-deferred and can be borrowed against or withdrawn (subject to certain rules) to supplement savings or fund future expenses. 2. Universal Life Insurance: Flexible Savings Growth How it works : Universal life insurance allows for flexible premiums and death benefits, while accumulating cash value based on interest rates set by the insurer. Benefit ...
